SAV Erasings

Hi, just got a DSONE, and I'm trying to figure it out  :D. I think from research here that DSONE saves .sav's in a temporary place, then writes to the MiniSD on the next power on, correct? So what I've been doing is after playing something, I wait 5 seconds and restart the DS, and press start after the menu boots to make sure that the file's been written. Now I've lost 2 saves so far, so here's the question.

Sometimes, I've seen (by pressing START at the file menu) that it skips writing the sav to the MINISD. At this point, I went into that game WITHOUT resetting again ( :tard:) and it treated it as if there was no save, and overwrote it with a blank one. So, how can I ensure that it writes to the save? I can't exactly test this, but next time I'm going to not go into the game and reset it until it writes the save; will this do the job?

And if anyone has a ZX Advent file before the Undersea Volcano, or a Phantom Hourglass file just after getting the Sun Key, I'd much appreciate it  ;)

With a somewhat recent firmware update, games no longer use that saving method when run in patched mode, instead saving directly to the microSD card (not miniSD) when you save in-game.  Games not run in patched mode still use the "save to microSD card at next bootup" method.

Have you upgraded your firmware, and are you using the patch option when running your games?

OK, updated, and set everything to patched mode, so I assume everything is perfect now, thanks!
