Please help me, i spent 2 hours last night looking for a stupid ps2 modchip and i couldnt find a forum or a store that would have them in stock. i thing the modbo v4 is a good choice, i rather get the ghost 2 since it plays mp3 and divx. all i really want is a chip that can play psd dvd back ups and ps1 back ups, a plus would be divx movies. also i would like to get into the ps2 emulation, any one here could guide on what the best cheapes chip is? thank you.

i dont have a ps2 modchip, or know much about them (i soft-modded my phat ps2), but i can tell you that any chip should support divx/xvid via homebrew such as SMS media player

well can you tell me what soft mod you did on yours, i would also like to do it, please.

Here is the wikipedia page. It does not work on slimline ps2s, and you will require a friend with an allready-modded ps2. You will also need an original ps1 game.
