A couple of days ago, I uninstalled Microsoft Word. Now, ever since I uninstalled it, it keeps giving me a message that my computer is trying to configure it. Anything I do, that box pops up saying "Now installing Microsoft XP with Front Page". Any way to get rid of this? This thing is really annoying due to the fact that it pops up and minimizes my games and stuff like that.

P.S. I emailed Microsoft, and they said that I had to pay about 30 bucks for support.
What a rip off!  :ticked:

Try installing Word and uninstalling it again.

jmr

i had that once because i had deleted a hidden folder called "MSOCache" on my D: drive
office looks for this folder everytime it loads up...... so maybe you have done the same thing?

kkan

did you uninstall or just delete the folder ?

and frontpage installs as a seperate unit :)

uninstall that too :)

btw microsuck also do a free uninstall tool just google for office uninstaller

you could try a RE INSTALL then uninstall it using add remove programs  :)
