The game works fine, but when i save the game it doesnt actually save.
Every time after i save and i restart it,it says new game.

Did you write the save to the SD card? (I think you have to press L+R+A+Start)

True_Warrior

That isn't the thing.
But the problem is  have 3 files:
A .GBA file
A .Sav file
A .SCI file

jmr

how is having the 3 files a problem?

do other gba games save ok?

which save style do you use?
1. Real Time Save
2. Quick Power Cycle

True_Warrior

I guess Real Time Save since i haven't even heard of the other one.
But yeah this is the first GBA game i put on my Supercard.

jmr

you need to press key combos to save with gba games with supercard
QuoteHot Key in the Game: (Only in Playing GBA game)

    * 1. Normal Save: L+R+A+SELECT. Press A confirm, B Cancel. You need to backup the save into CF/SD flash card after save in the game. And Supercard will load save auto next time when loading game. You can have FOUR normal save slots, if select Enable more saver option when coverting game.
    * 2. Real Time Save: L+R+B+SELECT. Press A confirm, B Cancel. Can Save/Load real time save. You can have FOUR real time save slots, if select Enable more real time saver option when coverting game.

True_Warrior

so if i wanna save i need to press those 4 keys?

dantheman

Yes.  First save in-game and then use L+R+A+Select.  Or use L+R+B+Select by itself to create/load a savestate.

True_Warrior

And then it makes a save file on my SD card?
And how do u load it again if i start the game up later?
(sorry for asking all those questions, but i just wanna know :-[)

You already loaded them onto your card, remember?  The *.sav file is for normal saving, and the *.sci file is a savestate.  *.sav files will load automatically, but I think you would need to specifically load a savestate with the button combo.

Have you read the Supercard FAQ on the main site?

It's in broken English, but you should be able to get the basic idea.

Yes.  First save in-game and then use L+R+A+Select.
I played the game and saved ingame and then i pressed those buttons, but it didn't help :(

dantheman

Have you tried the QPC method of saving?  Googling for "qpc saving" will get you the right page.
