Saves not saved with DS Link and Ninja Gaiden

Ninja Gaiden DS works fine on the DS with DS Link.  However, when turning off and restarting the game, my saved game is erased.  I notice after saving that when you turn the DS back on and start the game, it says "Saving" in the lower right corner, and I'm guessing this is when the game is overwriting the save file.  Anybody have any ideas on how to prevent this, or will this have to be fixed the next time (if ever) the DS Link software is updated?

Did you try without SoftReset? I gave my brother my DS-Link so I can't test.

I assume you are using the latest 2.31 patcher software and kernel?

I never enable soft reset or any other special options when I convert a ROM.  There's a "convert mode2" option that always seems to be on, but I don't know what that is or what it does.  I just leave it alone.

Yes, I am using the latest 2.31.

Does anybody else have DS Link that can try this out?  The DS Link forum is all Chinese, so I don't know where else to go for help.

I tested the game on my sons DSlink and it don't save, I even converted my R4 save to Dslink sav format and still no go. I remember that worms2 had the same problem on it and it was fixed my changing the games arm7 but not 100% sure on that. I'll keep trying and update if I get any results
Edit: tried using the arm7 from simcity and no go, will try mario karts arm7 later today, if you want to try it ur self download dslazy (google it). I don't remember which games arm7 made worms2 save but if anyone remembers plz post it so we can try it.

I actually gave up on it after my second try ;D ,  But i'm sure doing the arm7 fix will work from the right game so I would suggest u try it.

Not worth it.  I just pulled out and updated my old Supercard CF, and it plays and saves perfectly fine on there.  I tried emailing DS-Link about this, but I've gotten nothing back from them.
