I am picking up my new Micro today, where can I order the Supercard from, do I need the SD model?

Also, I dont have any games, what should I pickup along with the Micro today?

BTW, I am in the US.

kicktrading.ca is where I grabbed mine from, good price and you can get a CF or SD reader and/or a superpass if you need one added on at a fair price.  You are better off with the SD model (more likely to work with micro, and its smaller and doesnt have the media card sticking out of the device like the CF does)

Thanks, ill order from them, price is not bad.  Also, since I am new to this what is the process to putting games on the SD card in order to get them to play?

I plan on buying a few games today and then want to be able to load them to a 1GB SD card I have, and maybe put some mpegs and some mp3s, will the supercard do all this, is it pretty easy to use?

Does the Supercard stick out of the Micro?

stupid2ass

Yes it does but only about 1.5cm out.  It's nowhere near as bad as the M3.  The M3 is practically the size of a micro :)

I got a Micro myself today. Awesome little handheld, and the SD Supercard works great! I don't know what the whole deal about slowdown is that I keep hearing, but I tried about 60 games tonight and they all played perfectly, as well as some emulation goodness!

have a look on this page, and scroll down a bit to see what the SC SD and CF look like when in a GBA micro:
http://www.supercard.cn/eng/index.htm
compare the DS pics on that page to the ones on this page to see size difference:
http://m3adapter.com/

To get GBA games on, you use the ROM image and put them on with different options to work with in the supercard patcher. Other systems that are emulated with SC firmware, like PCE, Sega Master System and a few others, you can just put the games directly on the SD card. (have a look if you want to use these and save, Im not certain how to do so)

Dont know if the official tools from SC support mp3, but mpeg would need to be converted and filmplay.bin for SD needs to be in the SD card and run before seeing the videos.

I got my Micro!  Very cool, so tiny.  I got the black one and so far only one game, NFS underground 2.

I guess I will order SC today and hope I like it...I wish there were something flush but I guess not.

According to official site, it will play MP3s and movies.

Is the SC the best solution, is there anything better?

If you want something flush then buy the SC CF version and remove the CF card when the GBA game has loaded (the SC CF version is the same size as a normal GBA cart). For saving put the CF card back in and do a QPC and use the save menu. Or buy an ordinary flash cart like a F2A Ultra or similar.

I dont know about flash cart like a F2A Ultra...what are they?

Do they do the same things, allow you to save games, moves, MP3s, etc?

Which is the best one?

If it sits flush then it would be good, the reason I got the Micor is b/c the size...I can carry in my pocket easy.

Is this a good one:

while the supercard isnt flush its plenty near enough for me. my ds fits in my pocket with the supercard sd in it. also i have never bumped into the SC SD while playing.
i do not recomend any other device because of the function of the SC. for playing mp3s you can download moodshell and it will acctually play files straight off the sd card.(the version you download from scdev.org anyway.)

The SC sticks out of the micro about 1/8 of an inch, but does not in any way get in the way of playing. Fine for me. I had a EZ-Flash for awhile, and it would sit flush like a normal GBA cart. Only big problem was trasnferring files. So many problems with the USB connection, and then when it did work it took an eternity to transfer games. Well, it didn;t seem like an eternity until I started using the Supercard. With a card reader I am up and running dozens of games in literally seconds.

i must have a slow card reader then cause it takes me about a minute to get a dozen games on my card... :P
