It's called you aren't playing on a real cart. If you want a 100% perfect working experience, buy the game. The random lockups are known, some people have them (I usually get them once every hour or two) some people don't, and some people get them so often that the game is entirely unplayable.

You might still want to wait a little bit. From the sounds of it, the new firmware and patching software are going to be out soon and they will have greater compatibility which may mean less crashing for existing games as well.

Try to not play the card full.

Confirmed that today again, I had 75% of the card full and it was working perfectly, I got to more than 95% and the game freezed soon.

Anyway, now I play with maximum 75% of the card used (170/256) with this game and it works good, but you can even get a crash sometimes (anway I'm saving every 2-3 duels so it's not a big problem)
