We have confirmed reports which prove our suspicions about the rash of CF compatibility issues we have seen lately.  A recent, DS-incompatible batch of Supercards is the likely cause of the majority of these DS-related problems.

Here are some direct quotes from two of our members in regards to the issue:

"good news everyone"

it seems that the problem with the ds has nothing to do with cf and only apears on few "bad" sc.

the shop where i bought it, testet them and it seems the new delivery of sc has no (or only little) "bad" sc.

so - i replace my sc with a newer one - and i do not have any troubles now.

excange the sc with a "newer" version - this should fix all problems

there will be no firmware fix for this sc-ds error - only thing you can do is replace it.

regards

Quote from: "GBAFreak"Since I have 'retailer-contacts', I can confirm that romman actually acknowledged the 'DS problem'. Seems that in about 2000 supercards, the voltage was not as it should be. However, in the new batches delivered, this problem should be solved.

For now, I can confirm that roughly about half the cards now delivered, are without problems, but the other half still is faulty. The cards that still aren't working work better, but still not as good as they should.

So.. If you have a supercard that gives problems on your DS, ask your supplier to exchange it for a good one, it definitly IS a SC-problem.

The moral of the story?  If you purchased your Supercard recently and are experiencing major problems (such as games randomly freezing, or a "no cf error") when using it with a DS, you may have a DS-incompatible Supercard.  I suggest you contact the retailer you purchased your Supercard from in order to have it replaced with a new, DS-compatible version.

Will these lower-voltage cards work alright with GameBoy Advances? I was thinking of giving my older one to my brother.

Thanks,
