I've had to buy a new-firmware ds. Passme2 is cart-specific. Does anyone know if Australian carts are the same as US or EUR? (They have different identifications, e.g. Super Mario64 is NTR-ASME-AUS).
Thanks.

Since there are no (AU) dumps, I'd assume that they are U or EU dumps, most likely EU since (correct me if I'm wrong) Australians are on the PAL system correct?

Australia uses PAL for TV, but is this relevant for hand-held consoles? Is there an Aussie out there who has bought a passme2?

Well I state that for revelance because PAL countries almost ALWAYS get EU version of games. And yes I know PAL has nothing to do with the consoles.

but he was talking about the ORIGINAL cart that he needs to use with the passme2, not the dumps that are available.  it may be different from the european release.  having grown up in asia, I am aware of the fact that even on handheld devices that have no colour system (ntsc/pal/secam), there are distinct releases for Southeast Asia, Australia, and Europe (all PAL areas, for the most part).

If Nintendo DS does not use NTSC or PAL colour system, yet the U and E releases of a game have different CRC32 and gamecodes, I would assume that the AUS releases will not be identical to either the U or the E releases.

If nobody can answer you specifically, as to whether they know for certain that the AUS cartridges are identical (i highly doubt they are) to the European or U.S. releases, I think your best bet is to order a used US or European DS cart  from ebay.  just choose one that is listed on darkfader.net.  lynx (dspassme.com) can program the passme2 for any of those on the list.

I couldn't wait or take risks, so bought a US Mario Kart (from and Adelaide-based importer) and matching passme2. Christmas is close!
