Can we now buy any wifi router even the little usb things or do we still have a list for them?

onarum

there'll allways be compatibility problems, jyst make sure to get a compatible one, but luckly the list is big.
SC CF + 1GB Kingston CF + flashed NDS = a whole lot of fun.

Yeah try to still to the ones on the list but just about any will work. I got one off ebay for 10 bucks and was surprised to see it worked out just fine.  8)

There really aren't a lot of compatibility problems since the wifi is using the standard 802.11b signals. I have a (quite literally) no name brand name access point that works BEAUTIFULLY with wifi. Never had a single problem setting it up or getting it to work.

I am using the Linksys WRT54G and the PCI G Adapter card no problems sending homebrews to my DS with wifime and the same for Mario Kart works great.
Supercard SD, Sandisk 2 GB, AData  256 MB
Supercard One - 512MB Transcend
Pink DSL with flashme v8a Org-FW  haven't checked

Can I also use an usb dongle too? If so can you name a compatible one? or a list?

I couldn't find my Dlink-614+ on a compatibility list,
and didn't get it to comunicate with my ds an mario cart
until I found a hint, to set the "TX-Rate" to 1-2 mbit.
Yes, the speed of my wlan is now low for the other devices
but it'll take me just 2 mouseclicks to set it again to 22mbit.

Maybe this can help you guys having trouble with wifi.

is it also true that you can use the official wifi dongle as a wifi router/access point for programs like ds2key, i remember reading its possible by switching the drivers or something but i cant remember the link i think it might have been the gbadev forums

On the DI-614+, just disable "4X."  Advanced -> Performance -> 4X Mode "Disabled."  Leave the TX rate alone, just disable the 4X mode.  If you're not using D-Link wireless cards you'll never notice the difference.

thanx, i'll give it a try.

tried it, but doesn't work. Can you give more details, how you get
it to work with 11mbit? I used exactly the information you gave me...

Thanx in advance,
