The problem with this smaller passme is that it's more expensive, it's un-updateable (So if a version 7 firmware comes out that patches more holes, and you get another DS that has it you'll be unable to update it) Really it's still ugly that it sticks out of the DS slot like that <_< The best method is still buying a passme for installing flashme only.
