I have one of the older DS's, didn't need the superpass2 but that's what I ended up with.

I'm a little confused on the process of flashing, I understand the shorting SL1 portion but am not sure about the first step.

I've programmed the superpass2 with Metroid Hunters and copied the gba & sav files.  Do I JUST:

Just insert the superpass2, run the stealth flashme off the supercard/sd, do the short and that's it?

Or, do I need to do something along the lines of inserting superpass2, turn off, turn on again quickly, etc?  Also the sav & gba files, do I do something with them or they just need to be on the card?

Remember I have the older firmware DS.

Thanks for any help.

Here's how (althought this has been answered million times already )

1.- Program the superpass2 to Superpass1 (the first option in the Superpass Programmer)
2.- insert your SC with flashme.nds in it.
3.- Insert superpass+cart into NDS
4.- Boot
5.- Supercard menu should appear
5.-Select Flashme.nds
6.- Press XBXB (or whatever it asks for)
7.- turn around NDS, remove battery cover
8.- remove sticker
9.- Insert Metal object, short SL1.
10.- Don't turn off, or remove the battery until it's done.
11.- If the contact is lost the process it's paused (don't Turn off)
12.- Once finishes restart your NDS.

The rest it's up to you :)

Ahhh crap, got it.  Didn't know there was a superpass 1 option, hadn't researched getting a 2, it came as an semi-unpleasant surprise.

Was able to re-program but it tells me to copy PASS1-gba & .sav, which are not in the superpass2 directory, and if they were how would I use them?

The rest of it is clear now.

Thanks!!

I've heard that only certain versions of the DS can be flashed using this simple method.  I currently use a PassMe that sticks out a bit too much for my tastes, so i figured i'd try out the FlashMe firware to see if could offer me what my current setup does while eliminating the bulk.

I'm sure this has been answered somewhere else, by the way.  I can't for the life of me find it though.  Maybe that's because I'm running on about two hours of sleep... oh well... Thanks in advance everyone!

For superpass1 you don't need the GBA and sav files.
This simple method only works if your NDS is old firmware.

To know your firm:

Turn it on, go to pictochat, make sure you have an NDS cart.
enter room1, remove the NDs cart.
If the screen turn yellow, you need superpass2

Well I'll be damned!

Flashed it last night, whole procedure went flawlessly and took about 2 minutes ;-)

Thanks so much for your help guys.
