I copied over the Mario Kart save with all courses unlocked......connected to WFC and it wanted me to convert as it said it wasn't from that DS, blah blah blah.

So I hit OK.......and rather than my normal WFC name of "Wilson," it gives me a new name and converted it to "RYAN."

I'm guessing that's the person whose save I downloaded.

Anyway.........how do I get it back to MY name?

Assuming you didn't just copy it over your old save without backing it up first... restore the backup.

If you didn't keep your old save, you're boned.

I have my old save.  But isn't there any way to actually change the name information in the downloaded save???

I'd like to use this save, but I don't want my damn Mario Kart name to be RYAN obviously.

Go to "option" on the title screen.
There you can change your screenname and your emblem.
