Hy All,

I got Filmplayer loaded on to the SC. I got it running and managed to convert some mp3s to play and thats working fine. When I try to play video all I get is a garbled/pixilated screen but the sountrack works fine. I figured I needed to run the E13 patch to sort out the video. I did, but Im still getting garbled pixles. The video was converted with the editing software downloaded from the main SC site as is the filmplay gba and E13 firmware upgrade.  Any Ideas? Has this sort of thing happened to anyone else?

put the settings on hight quilaty then the movie will be perfect only it takes some more space as well or put it on medium.

and well i dont know if you work with a ds or not but moonshell is the best for audio and film for that no neet to convert mp3 only movies and the size if perfect a 700 mb divx movie will be around 186 mb so there you got.

Just make sure you are using Movie Converter version 1.30. If not, you will get garbled rainbow pixels on the screen with perfect sound. The video will not be viewable no matter what settings you convert it at.

This happened to me, so I uninstalled the newer version and installed the older version. Works fine now.

SC does not support the newer Crystal engine (I believe that is what it's called) which is used in the new GBA Movie Players. So you have to use the older version software for SC to recognize the video.

The older version of the player is the only one that's designed to read directly from the supercard.

The reason the new ones aren't supported is because it's copyrighted software. It's illegal to download it... no idea how romman got it so they could use the old versions honestly.

That makes sense, I was downloading from GBA the movie way. The files were probably converted with a more recent addition of the software. Ill try converting some short clips myself with 1.30 and see how it goes.

Thanx,

You can also try this as an alternative; I used it quite a bit until the 1Gb card started to fill up with games and got rid of the movies.

Yep that was the trick, I successfully converted some eps of Seinfeld and a Robin Williams skit. They play just fine.  Does anyone know of a SC Movie Player site where I could share files already converted. The process takes so long on my antiquated computer Im sure others would like to share in the bounty once Ive already converted them. GBA the movie way seems to have users using the updated software and hence the files shared there are not always compatable with SC. Do you think we will ever see an update for movie player, or a music player with playlists? That would be sweet!

Thanx everyone for your help!  :D
