ok so i went and read all teh tutorials on how to convert the firmware from passme to passme 2 i built the jtag cable and was about to do the flash when it hit me, how am i supposed to program the passme2 after i have the firmware on it. if i want to play in ds mode on a newer ds do i still need that adapter that came with superpass2 or is there another way i can install flashme on the new ds.

I think you are a little confused (or being unclear on your post)

You said you updated your superpass to superpass2, using a jtag cable.
Ok, so now you have it, go to the tutorials in thsi site, and read how to flash. Start your NDS in NDS mode, and flash it.
Now you don't need your superpass2 anymore. IF you want to flash another NDS just follow the tutorials you used to flash the other NDS.

not confused at all just didnt understand the process.

on all the sites that i referenced they linked a general superpass2 jed file. since i am using a superpass the generic version it was a little differnt. I also do not own the programing cable which is used to go between passme versions for differnt carts.

What i had to do was igonore the general flash to the passme2 firmware and load the acme for mario cart as thats the cart i have.

in summary

if you are flashing a superpass to passme2 it is possible all you have to do is find the cart file on darkfadrs site and then youre done. each time you want to use a new cart you have to use the jtag to program. not to sure if you can use the passme2 programer though as i dont have one to test.

if you have  any other questions i think i understand it pretty well after working on it for 6 hours last night

edit- there is a newer version of the impact software that you use to flash the passme, so the screens are a little different just in case anyone gets confused
