SNESDS - how to save?

SNESDS outputs a .ds.gba file. I rename it to .nds and load it onto my SD.

It loads and plays fine, but it won't save.

Help?

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

?

Sailormoon Another Story save, but I forget if the emulator create a .sav file after.

Anyway, just put the .gba and it should work. I could always test it again to see how it worked (anyway not all games saves).

umm, i cant get chrono trigger to work, any help? as for the save i elieve if you create a .sav file with the same name as the snesds dump it should save with the qpc metod, just a guess though as i cant even get the damn thing to work.
SC CF + 1GB Kingston CF + flashed NDS = a whole lot of fun.

Try checking the compatibility list before complaining about games not working.

You can save with SnesDS, I am currently spending most of my spare time playing Zelda: A Link to the Past.  onarum is right, you just make a sav file with the same name as your ROM and then use QPC to save.

yeah just saw that one...., to bad, bah then snesds has no value to me, all i wanted was chrono trigger and the seiken densetsu series, but none of them work...

Koji

Seiken Densetsu will never work. At least, you wouldn't be able to read the text if they ever got it working. There is no way the GBA or DS will ever support the snes Hi-res modes when they can barely fit the low res modes.

Also you should know that SNESDS is still an early port of SNESadvance with sound support.

Himura

In about a year's time I think SNESDS will have been rebuilt from the ground up, and tailored specifically to the DS so I can enjoy my games. Right now, it's not that bad. You can still play Super Punch Out, saving, so I'm happy. And Breath of Fire works. Go check out that compatibility list. I've got a few entries on there too.

Really? I tried playing Earthbound and using the QPC method, and the save didn't save.

Earthbound works? Well, make sure that the file for Earthbound (Earthbound.nds) matches the save (Earthbound.sav).

Earthbound mostly works.

And I had the files named as snesDS.nds and snesDS.sav.
