First of all! I'v been searching the forum but couldnt find what i was looking for.

What is the different between "Wifime", "Flashme" and "Passme" just shortly (and simpel).

And can i use apps like Win2DS and PointyRemote with them?

I have:
Nintendo DS (Supercard Kernel 1.62)
PC (wireless connected)
Wireless AP (D-Link DWL-G700AP)

Do i need anything else (like change the driver ect.) to get the apps to work?

It would be nice if there where some simpel tutorials for us noobs.

Cano

OK!
Correct me if i am wrong.

PassMe: Hardware device that you put original game in and boot from.
FlashMe: Firmware patch so you can play commercial dumps and run homebrew code on it.
WiFiMe: Some wireless app?

Is it WiFiMe i need to run apps like Beup, Win2DS and PointyRemote?

Can the NDS connect to my AP (above) or do i need a PCI-card with a special driver?

Please help me!

And i hope you understand my English.

Wario

WiFime was the way to flash (i.e. update NDS firmware) the DS before Passme was released. You need special hardware (RT9500 chipset wifi card) and software (special drivers) to connect to the DS.

To run Wifi application from DS, you just need to connect to your WiFi access point (and of course a way to run homebrew :wink:).

Refer to the application for security settings (some do not support security, some use WEP).

Thanks alot!

So if I get this right:
I can connect my DS to my Accsess Point and use Beup without a diffrent PCI-card (with that chip and driver)?

If the above is right then
I still can't get it to work. The apps finds my AP network but can not connect.
I do not use WEP so it can't be that. Should i put up a DHCP server on myAP?

Here is what i got:

WWW---Cabel modem---Hardware AP (no router)->->Wireless to->->PC (static IP)

Cabel modem:
No router

AP:
Dynamic IP, DHCP=off, WEP=off

PC:
IP=84.99.54.86
Subnet:255.255.255.128
Gateway:84.99.54.1
DNS1:214.122.166.18
DNS2:214.122.166.22

NDS:
IP=84.99.54.85
Subnet:255.255.255.128
Gateway:84.99.54.1
DNS1:214.122.166.18
DNS2:214.122.166.22

I don't know if this should work, and it don't.
So Please help me

How did your NDS get an ip without DHCP?

bitblt

A WAP is also a router.  A router is required to share a cable modem connection with your PC/laptop/NDS.  I recommend enabling DHCP on your WAP, PC, and NDS.  Don't specify an IP address.  Your WAP should be using the public IP (84.99.54.86) from your cable company, and and your PC and NDS should be getting a private IP (192.168.10.xxx) from your router DHCP.

First of all thanks. I'm not very good at networking.

I did this manual from a WiFi Game.

I think you are wrong here. My AP is only an AP it do not have NAT (Network Address Translation) like a router.

My AP can't share internet connections because it do not have NAT. I tought the NDS was connecting to my PC (maby not with beup) with Win2DS and PointyRemote to the servers i'm running.

How unfortunate and unusual.  You should get a router then.  You can't just assign your DS a public IP like 84.99.54.85, unless your cable company reserves it for you.

When buy a router i will! :)
I must do that anyway, need one for my laptop.
