I need a bit of clarification about how to get my supercard to work if anyone can enlighten me (I'm missing something really obvious I'm sure).

I bought my DS from a guy who sold with it a Supercard and 1gig mini-SD card. I've put on the SD card moonshell and some vids and it works fine with my DS. However, I lent the Supercard to my brother who also has a DS, but it won't work on his - the Gameboy logo comes up on his and then when it goes to the list of files on the SD, the list is blank. On mine, no Gameboy logo comes up and it just goes straight to the list of files. So I'm confused - is this because his DS needs to be "flashed" first, or does it need something else doing to it.

If it needs to be flashed, does this apply to all different adapters that can be used on the DS before they'll work? I'm really confused.....

Here's some additional information that might help - we both have DS lites. When I have the supercard in and power on the supercard logo is on the bottom screen and this list of files on it on the top screen. When I put it in my brother's the bottom screen just stays black (no SC logo), the top screen shows the gameboy logo then goes to the file list screen, except it doesn't list any of the files. I can press right and select the "SAVE" tab and it displays a list of all the save files for the games however.

His DS probably isn't flashed.  You need a passme device or flash the DS.

That's why when you boot up his DS with the SC, it goes to the gameboy screen, it goes into gameboy mode only and not DS mode.

It needs to be flashed to show any files that are .nds, of which Moonshell is.
Unflashed will only show .gba, and as you have said .sav files.
