Well, I read a statement by the chairman of Nintendo and he said that at least in Europe its 50% of the lite's price. That is also the price they are offering it here (70-80 dollars), doubt it's possible to cache that ram since a CF/SD/x card is  probaby hundreads/thousands of times slower than that real RAM chip. I am no professional but I doubt why it would be even worth the trouble to make it "run" when there is like no possibility to really use it.

I imported mine from PlayAsia for 49.90, go figure.  I've read posts stating the US release was going to be ~$25.  The NDSB isn't worth $70, that's crazy.

Like I've stated before . . .

Quote from: "bitblt"I'm going to guess it will take more effort to make the DS Opera browser work with SuperCard than it's worth.  This is why I pre-ordered one.  I think I've read that it's only going to be $25 when it arrives in the US. Just buy one. You might also wait for a better homebrew browser.

The Nintendo DS Browser boots on all Supercard versions (CF, SD and Lite) and displays error message string 72077 and 72078. Delete these strings and a new error message will be displayed saying FIXME.
I have looked for the text string FIXME and this is located within the Arm9.bin. So the overlay data and the data folder and arm7.bin do not need altering.

Using this way would only bypass error messages and not implement supercards memory with the ds browser.

where do i find the string 72077 and 72088?
and how do i delete these stings?
and how do i alter a arm9.bin

is it against the rules to send an altered arm9.bin? (not asking for it just wondering if it's against the rules)

Don't bother. Those two lines are in the language file, deleting them triggers the debugging string that says it needs fixing, deleting that would only lead to another string, and so on until there was none left and it would just display nothing and continue with its shutdown process.

What if you took out the shutdown process?
ilver DS with Flashme v.7
Supercard SD 1.63FW
512mb Kingston SD

AnalogMan

With that ability you could just as easily take out the RAM cart checking proceedure.

Then how would it work?

Altor

I think what he's getting at is, "No" :P

Stux

Wouldnt it be possible to hack it to use free space on the SD card in place of ram, like what happens in windows? It would be slower, but shouldnt be unusably slow.

Also the slow down in the retail versions might be to do with the sites having to be processed in japan apparently.
