Can batchdpg reformat ipod mp4 files? Does anyone have an extensive list that batchdpg is compatible with?

mrsaturn

It's compatible with whatever codecs you have on your computer. Also, why not just try it?

BatchDPG will recognize damn near anything. Like mrsaturn said, make sure you have lots of codecs and you should be all set.

Cool, i did not know how it worked but I will give it a go and let you know how it turns out. The way it sounds, batchdpg is one bada$$ program.

uzumakishade

can anyone help me setup Batch DPG to convert rmvb files?
i want to convert some naruto eps i have but i havent had any luck setting up for rmvb has anyone gotten it working?
step by step would be grateful

I could not get the rmvb (real media) file to work either. I still havent had time to try ipod mp4 but will tonight and post results.

Altor

Got "Real Alternative"?  Google it, maybe it'll help you.  It's listed on a lot of sites "on the up-and-up", but something tells me it's right on the borderline of legal.

PharaohsVizier

I need help, I got some Naruto.avi 's and I can play them right and all, but I cant seem to use BatchDPG on em.  They are the DB releases and are avi.  What codecs do I need?

onekelly

I also have real alternative as well, did not help? Unless, are you supposed to open it up to make it work?

sneef

The files have to be directshow compatible.  Try converting the rm files to avi, and then using dpgtools.  i used winavi converter to convert the rm files to mpeg4 avi (using xvid codec).

For those wondering this is straight from microsoft site ( http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/directshow/htm/supportedformatsindirectshow.asp )

Supported Formats in DirectShow
This is preliminary documentation and subject to change.

DirectShow is an open architecture, which means that it can support any format as long as there are filters to parse and decode it. The filters provided by Microsoft, either as redistributables through DirectShow or as Windows operating system components, provide default support for the following file and compression formats.

Note   An asterisk (*) indicates that DirectShow applications must use the Windows Media® Format SDK to support this format. For more information, see the Audio and Video section of the MSDN Library.

File types:

Windows Media® Audio (WMA)*
Windows Media® Video (WMV)*
Advanced Systems Format (ASF)*
Motion Picture Experts Group (MPEG)
Audio-Video Interleaved (AVI)
QuickTime (version 2 and lower)
WAV
AIFF
AU
SND
MIDI
Compression formats:

Windows Media Video*
ISO MPEG-4 video version 1.0*
Microsoft MPEG-4 version 3*
Sipro Labs ACELP*
Windows Media Audio*
MPEG Audio Layer-3 (MP3) (decompression only)
Digital Video (DV)
MPEG-1 (decompression only)
MJPEG
Cinepak
Microsoft does not provide an MPEG-2 decoder. Several DirectShow-compatible hardware and software MPEG-2 decoders are available from third parties.

For information on the availability of particular third-party codecs for redistribution with DirectShow applications, contact the codec manufacturer.

rmvb/rm works fine for me direct. Just try installing the klite mega codec and then try again.

Youtube/google videos can be used direct after installing the filter from moonshell site.

onekelly

I did the klite meda codec and when I converted avi files it said the codec was expired and went across the bottom of the screen. so I deleted it all and put back divx. Maybe I will just enable only a couple needed from the codec.

THey work direct for me too. I also have that klite mega codec pack installed.

uzumakishade

so i should install klite mega codec pack, then install Batcdpg, then it should work with rm/vb?
