GBA Saves not writing

If someone can help me out with this question, this should be my last post on this subject...  I think I know why I can't seem to find a save on my mini sd card from my SC when doing a "normal save."  Either it's not saving to my SRAM or it's not saving to my mini SD card when I go to the Saver tab to copy to my card.  Either way, I chose the extra saver option when I patched my game again, and every time I try to save to one of the four slots, it never retains the save.  Has anyone had this problem, and if so, how do you get your "in-game" save to actually save to your mini sd card so you can use it for your PC emulator?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

here follow my quick guide, i wrote for someone else so just read what applys to you.

all what you need is the patcher and the new firmware thats in the donwload section for your SClite http://scdev.org/index.php?cat=downloads
copy the .scu file file into your microsd main directory(not in folders)
and boot it up and press yes when it aks you to upgrade. delete the file afterwards. then install the software you downloaded and patch all your games with it( first choose a directory meaning an output of wher you wnat your files to go)

right click on the games for more options like; for gba game you can selet realtimesave, more realtimesave( 3 more slots), cheats or text file. realtime save is an instant snapshot save anywhere and anytime and you press R+L+SELECT+B to realtime save. to do a regular save in gba games first save thru the game and the back it up by pressing R+L+SELECT+A.

when patching a nds game you can right click and set evreything to SD, also check faster play and rom trim to remove unnecessary space. NDS games save automatically when you save in the game, meaning you dont have to do any button combination.

since you have your supekey you dont need to flash your ds and you always need your superkey if your going to run nds roms or nds hombrew base.

hope this helps.

I do not have a micro sd, it is a mini sd.  So you're saying to download the latest upgrade for the minisd SC, install the .scu file and launch it from my ds?  That will solve my problem?

yeah but follow my save method, dont use that stupid quick power cycle shit. first save thru the game and then back it up to your minisd by pressing R+L+SELECT+A and choose save, you dont need to ever load this save as it loads automatically when you boot the game. i actually thingk if you go to the save tab and write save you delete your save as thats what happends when i did that to some of my nds saves. you can also do realtime save by pressing R+L+SELECT+B and this is an instant snapshot that does need to be load by pressing the same buttons.
