Thanks GAA-GSG, your method works great. I made up my own loader video anyone is free to use as they wish:

which you can download at: http://www.mysharefile.com/v/3616040/dsbordervid.zip.html.

Also a new border I slapped together:

"Military Metal"

Sat down and thought "hey, I should make a border for my second most all time favorite game which will be coming out on GBA here soon". But then I ended up making three, cause Tiggerfactory's artwork is so awesome.

BorderDS and RomPatcher Mirror

Here ya go. Just to review:

BorderDS will let you make a border for your real gba carts.

RomPatcher will let you make a border for your rom files, but there is a catch, you cannot actually patch most gba games directly because they won't work once you patch them with the supercard software, so as a work arround, you can create a standalone gameboy movie using Meteo and then patch your border into it, load the rom, do a soft reset, and finally load the game rom you want. I included my gbamovie (as seen at top of this thread, allready named mygame.gba in the rompatcher directory) and my military metal skin (allready named border.png).

Oh, PLEASE, could somebody post a link or mirror to GAA-GSG's borders program? I can't get my SuperCard to work with BorderDS and RomPatcher and patched backups. Or, at least, could somebody find a way to use bordered roms in SC without getting rid of other options while patching?

You know all the info and files you need where posted on this and the last page. There is no way to patch a border into most roms because then it wont work once you patch them for the supercard.

The way to work arround it is to:
compile a stand-alone video with meteos,
patch your choosen border into it,
patch it for the supercard with "soft reset enabled",
then load the gba video,
do a soft reset,
and finally load the rom you want.

A bit confusing, yes. A bit of a hassle, yes. But the only way you can do it, yes.

If it is still confusing, let me know. I could write up a whole step by step guide if need be.

:( So... isn't GAA-GSG method working?

At last I found the way to boot all gba roms with my own border.

Now you CAN use all the features of Supercard (SC Normal Save, SC RealTime Save, SC Book, SC Cheat Code List) to all GBA roms while your own border is being appeared during game play.

Download the following package and you will see:
http://f1.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/4N_6RCKvrkGOA9Y_sXl6eQFhiQkrOFF1urd0JT08ZVv6RlZsLpi6lVE2q_uCszsKiG1OmpIfegCepoe87iL0ig/Play%20whatever%20I%20want%20-%20border.7z

It contains a guide (guide.txt), a converted rom (mygame.gba) to apply your border on it and boot the GBA's mode of NDS -to use the same border with other GBA roms, also- and a ready to use "booting" border (Play whatever I want - border.nds).

And I know all the files I needed were here and in the previous page, I got BorderDS from one of those links, but I wanted to download GAA-GSG's file... I clearly stated that. I can't get to try what you're telling me to if I can't get the file...

All of his files are in my file. The method he discovered is the one involving the video. You use the gba video to load the border into video memory, then do a soft reset and load the rom you want. The border stays in video memory and you can preform all the functions (saving, cheats, reseting, ect ect) with whatever rom you load up.

Oh, great. I thought that other files was modified in some way. I'm not playing GBA ATM (darned slowdowns...), but I'll try it once I finish Phoenix Wright :D
Thanks for the info.

Sorry, but I have not seen anything in scdev.org for a long time... Thank you very much that you appreciate my method. If someone re-upload it somewhere else so as to exist for more time is free to do it.
Here is a new link:

Macedonia has always been Greek (Helliniki) and has always been located in Greece (Hellas). Fyrom and Turkey will never(?) be part of E.U. We live in EUROPE, not in any USA department. So it is better to obey to our continental rules.

No. Thank YOU for the feedback :D It worked smooth as silk, though I'm still unable to import a .sav from VBA, but that's not because of your program
Thanks again ;)

UPDATED with all files from the original package:

I realize this is a fairly lengthy bump, but I'm having issues with BorderDS on my Supercard MiniSD.  Really, I just want to be able to apply my own border before starting a GBA cartridge, that's it.  However, BorderDS does not seem to be working for me.  When I launch it from my Supercard menu, it just hangs at the Gameboy logo.  If I quickly swap out to a regular cartridge during this time, the same thing happens.  It never gets past the Nintendo logo.  Has anyone ever had this happen to them?

And yes, I renamed it from .ds.gba to .nds before launching it.  I also tried launching it from Moonshell, which didn't work.

I tried using BootGBA, and although it works, I'd rather use my own border, and BootGBA does not support the SC MiniSD.

I also tried using the patcher to patch the .gba file I want the border to run on, but Goomba Color doesn't boot at all when doing this.  Any ideas?

These links have also died. Can anybody please upload these files yet again? I will try to post them to a more permanent location such as the gbatemp repository.
