hi.. I have a ds lite.. i first flashed  my firmware to version 5 (that was the only one i could find at the time... stupid i know) and i lost the ability to change the brightness.  When i found flashme V7 i figured that it would give me back the brightness control if i reFlashed it.. it is still the same... any ideas?

hmm, try restoring the original firmware with no-flashme and the reflash it again it v7. also please make sure that the version 7 you are using is the lite version. you can tell the diference from the two versions of v7 by the size, the lite version is 526 kb and the phat version is around 260 kb.

Search for "lite brightness flashme", that should bring up a topic with the proper firmwares.

Or try this page: http://203.218.237.237:2888/ndsgba/download/download.htm  ... it looks like it has all the most recent stuff.

Do not install the flashme from that site. I used that flashme.nds on my Nintendo DS Lite and now it doesn't have the 4 different screen brightness. The brightness only turns on and off.

I checked with my friend and he sent me the flashme.nds that he used. His is 526 kb, while the one I got from that site is only 270 kb... both say it is v7 when installing. I flashed the 526 kb flashme and now my Nintendo DS Lite is back to normal. :)
