as i sit here and wait for my SC lite to arrive, i am trying to find a DS emulator that actually works. does anyone know of one?

So far DS emulators only support homebrew and a hand full of commercial roms. (even with Nintendo's Ensata emulator) I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the DS is fully emulated.

The leaked version of Ensata is old and sucks.  It only plays a few EA Games (Tiger Woods, Robots, 007, and maybe another one) and it is extremely slow.

Google DeSmuME it is up to version 3.6 and actually boots many commercial games, but is also slow.

There is actually a perfectly working version of DSpec around, but only for beta testers so far.
DSpec it's a wonderfull emulator for the Sinclair ZX spectrum home computer from the 80's.
Maybe it's only enjoyable by old timers like me, but withouth lying it's the most exciting thing that happend to my DSL since I got an SC.
Pratically I haven't been playing anything else since I got an early beta vesion a few weeks ago.
To me, that is the killer DS application so far, expecially since the ZX Spectrum display fits so nicely and entirely on the DS with brilliant colors and fully cusomizeable controls that it's actually better to play it now then 20 years ago.

I think MrBananaMan was looking for an emulator that will emulate the DS on a PC.  I could be wrong?

Nice to know about DSpec.  It sounds very cool.  Are you a beta tester?

Sorry I was OT I thought it was about emulators for the DS, not for the PC.
But yes I am lucky to be a beta tester for DSpec.
