I'm going to be getting my Supercard SD tomorrow, so I wanna get some ROM's ready for my DS lite. Anyway, do you just copy and paste them on to you're SD card, or do you have to do a few things first?

I'm kinda new to all of this.

Patch with Supercard software
ilver DS>White DSLite>Black GBA Micro>SCSD>SCLite>DSLink>4GB Transcend sd>2GB Patriot sd>512 MB Sandisk microsd>1 GB Sandisk microsd

Yea, you need to patch the roms before you copy them to the memory card.
Games are really personal preference.

Right now I'm playing:

Pheonix Wright - Ace Attorney
Summon Night: Swordcraft story (GBA)
Rockman ZX

ps: you should've posted in General discussion, as this topic doesn't relate to homebrew.

pps: In the title it should be 'your', not you're.

I don't really understand how to patch the ROM's. I don't really know what it means either. But you're basically saying that I can only do it when my supercard comes tomorrow. Fair enough. Just so I don't screw up when I'm doing it tomorrow, can you tell me how to patch ROM's using the software, as well as telling me what it means.

Thanks alot.

You can download the patching software on this site. just go to downloads.
Then just run it, choose your rom's and choose a file destination. then you just copy the .dsq and .sav to your card

No, not at all, you can patch your roms today, right now.

Simply download the latest Supercard Software for the SD. Run the program, open the files you want, make sure all the options are correct, and then push Out. They'll go into a folder you can set, and then you can rename the patched roms to whatever you want. Don't change the file extension though (i.e., leave them as .dsq and .sav or whatever it is after the patching).

Put those on your SD card now if you want, but be sure to run the latest firmware on the SD card after you get your SuperCard SD before you start using your patched roms.

Not a difficult process at all.

Wow. Thanks alot guys. I'm learning more and more from this site.

As we're on the topic, I might as well as a few more questions.

Is there only a specific format that the Supercard can accept? Like is ".nds" the only format it can take?
Also, where can I get Firmware from. And what is it?

Thanks alot. I knew nothing like last week.

When you are totally clueless, it's normally a good idea to start with reading the manual.

I just have like one more question.

Is there a chance of bricking my DS lite if I don't flash it. You see, I'm going to be buying another lite and I will sell the current one I have. So without flashing, am I still ok to play care free with my DS at the moment?
