Supports all new DS's! (even the colored ones)

The Superpass wont work anymore if you  Falsh using this version.. at least the people in GBADEV forum said that.. you need a new version of PASSME

so you you dont have a colored DS.. you dont need upgrade..

just keep on version 3!

EDIT: You still need a new version of PASSME to install flashme on NEW DSs

magnet

Is that (more DS compatibility) the only improvement?  I can't really see what would be improved aside from that.

After flashing a new firmware DS with the new flashme, a standard passme works fine.

I've tried it with a few games, without any issues

V4 added the new firmware for the DS's that need passme2 or Ique passme to work.

When the flashme app runs on your DS, it detects which firmware the DS has currently (currently 4 types, the fourth being the latest protected DS's), and whether the protected bit has been flashed before by flashme.

Depending on the firmware yours contains, the DS gets flashed a specific firmware that will work with your DS. Needless to say, in V4, the new firmware was added, while the firmware that gets flashed to those that worked with V3 is unchanged.

PassMe - from what I understand, the new Ique DS's that dont work with PassMe still wont work with PassMe even after the custom firmware is installed. Ique/Passme2 must be used.

Erm, I beg to differ, after flashing, the standard passme / Superpass works just fine.

Am I missing something here? Is not the purpose of flashing so you no longer have to use the Superpass? Why would anybody care if the Superpass works or not after flashing since you no longer need it?

yes, you are missing something.

the reason people would still want to use a passthrough device (passme/superpass) is that there are a few games which don't seem to work properly (or don't boot at all) with flashme alone.

Ahh, that would be something to miss!  :D

Good to know. I ordered a pre-flashed unit today, but do have a Superpass. I'll be hanging onto it for when I need it. Thanks for the heads up.

Not to mention other devices like MK2/3 which are based on passme, its good to know that flashme V4+ makes the DS compatible, thanks for the info dog!

I am about to prepare for my next version of Flashme, I have the first version on my DS that I flashed with my 1st gen PASSME.....

Can you upgrade to the newest FLASHME version for wireless capabilities? I actully forget the process, but will look it up again, is it as simple as running the FLASHME from the SC after I boot with the PASSME in? Or do I need to upgrade my original PASSME to V.2 then run FLASHME.

Thanks

You do not need to do anything with your pass me. Just run the new version of the flashme as if it were a NDS game, then follow the prompt (you will have to bridge the SL1 contact again)
