I was considering getting a good SD card off newegg for my supercard, but I need to know what speed to look for. I have heard things like if you get a slower card, castlevania/metroid/animal crossing will run crapily but they never list what card/speeds to shoot for.  

What brand/speed should I aim for if I'm going to be playing alot of the more intensive games?

Yea speed does matter if you are really hardcore, but I have a sandisk normal mini sd, and sure there is a bit of lag, and castlevania's intro is a little off, but it doesn't really affect me that much.  Animal crossing isn't the type of game where lag matters, the intro in castlevania doesn't matter, and metroid didn't lag for me...

Speed does matter and if you own the Animal Crossing game or any game that normally doesn't have lag then it will drive you nuts.

I suggest name brand memory, as they have better access times, and rated speeds of 80X or higher but try and shoot for 150X. ATP, Ritek, A-Data, and KingMAX are all great memory and have good speeds.

The ATP ProMax 150X 2GB miniSD is what I have in my SuperCard miniSD. I had had a SanDisk regular 2GB miniSD and had to get rid of it as the lag made games unplayable. ATP makes the ProMax in all sizes up to 2GB while Ritek makes a 150X 1GB for very cheap, $25. You can find these great memory prices and items at the bottom two sites:
