Greetings. I just got my Supercard, miniSD w/ Kingston 2gig, and Passcard3 in today.

Plugged them all in, the only thing I can get to work on there is moonshell and DSOrganize. All the pre-compiled .nds roms.

I cannot get any homebrew started at all.
*.zip > *.nds

*.nds > SuperCardsd.exe > *.nds.dsq  = whitescreen after load

*.nds > dsbuild *.nds -o *.nds.gba = witescreen after load

*.nds > ndsloader.bin > *.nds = whitescreen after load

I am seriously stumped. I have yet to try any GBA games, but if my DS, and Nintendo roms dont work. There's got to be a major flaw. It was shipped from a creditable company. I am wondering if I should have got a passme device instead or if I am missing another step in converting an *.nds file for use on my SC.

Edit - Save/Reset buttons LR, YXAB, Sleep Mode, nothing responds after whitescreen.
Edit2 - GBA games seem to work A-OK.

PLEASE help. I’ve got a girlfriend who is not happy with me.

Did you try updating the firmware? Download the .bin and run it on the menu. ALso patch your games using the SC windows program
All is in this link

(the SC windows and firmware are bundled in one dl I believe)

Thank you for the reply. Yes, I installed the CD shipped to me first. Same problem.

I downloaded the new version directly from this site, same problem.

Weird, you're telling me most everyone can just use that software and play their games in *.dsq form?

Then there must be something faulty with my card... Should I blame the Passcard3 or my shipping company? Could it be my memory?

Drag and Drop nintendo roms to card, & show up as giberish, but still play. Is this the same with everyone else?

If you can run Moonshell and DSOrganise then your Passcard3 is working.

This might help you understand how to run other homebrew titles . . .

When working with commercial roms it's important to make sure you are using the latest version of both patcher and firmware.
You need to make sure you patch clean dump commercial game ROMS only.  Use Nintenren or some other program to verify your roms.

Patch "clean dump" game roms . . .
1) verify game roms with Nintenren software
2) patch game roms with latest supercard patcher software
http://www.scdev.org/index.php?cat=downloads&type=sd
3) use this list for best patcher software options
http://www.dualscene.net/lists/index.php?listname=Supercard
4) copy patched *.dsq and *.sav files to SD
5) run patched files in DS mode

Make sure you understand that clicking on a rom name in the supercard patcher menu will allow you to select special patching options.

Sometimes a supercard will have problems if the SD media isn't seated firmly in the SD slot.  Try using a small bit of paper to apply slight pressure to your SD card.

Thank you so much for the post.  :)

I can understand now that every rom requires "special patching options" from dualscene. However, I find that these dont work.

The only rom I was able to work was Electroplankton and it did exactly the same thing that my roms were doing earlier...
Can I assume I have a damaged supercard, or SD? or is it rare to find a game that works?  :?

It Is A Mystery...

work, but do they work like this? I mean, when do you draw the difference between a white screen and garbage on the screen.
Isnt there a logical explanation for what I'm doing wrong?  :(

Yes, 99% of DS games work perfectly with no visual glitches whatsoever.

Are you using the latest SC patcher and firmware?  Did you verify your roms with Nintenren?  Did you try wedging a small bit of paper in your mini SD slot?  Try flashing your supercard again.  Try gently cleaning the GBA and SD contacts. Can you test your Supercard in another DS or GBA system, or try a different miniSD.  If all else fails return your Supercard.
