Is there a way to go into sleepmode without keeping a game in the DS slot?

I bought my DS-LITE pre-flashed with flashme. Is there a way to check the version of flash me on my DS (if there different versions) and if there is, how  would I be able to install the new flashme through a supercard mini SD

You can reflash your DS but there is no version that allows sleep mode.

Try take me out, should turn the color of FW V3.
If you run DSLinux it shows you your FW version btw..
