Does it work?

I'm SERIOUSLY considering getting the SC Lite now that my DS Lite is coming home after 3 weeks (sent back with a trigger button problem). I would be a very happy man if "Firmware Header Patcher" works with it.

Thought it most probably will not be a deciding factor whether to get a SC Lite or not (actually MONEY is the deciding factor) but it could very well accelerate the decision!

PS : This post is not to trigger yet another "ABXY" vs "select" debate!

Sorry for my ignorance, what's a header patcher?

Right now the default behaviour of SuperCard is that you turn it on, it loads SuperCard directly. If you want to use the NDS menu to run GBA games or original NDS games, you press "SELECT" to start in that mode.

This patcher that I like very much which Cory wrote, patches the SC (SD and miniSD) FW so that it will boot by default into NDS normal menu, and then if you want to use SuperCard u press and hold "ABXY" when boot.

FYI this was the default behaviour in the older FW of SC.

I don't know why its such a big deal... If I want to access the menu I just pop out the key (just push it in and it 'unclicks') and then it will load into the bios menu so I can change what I please. It takes about the same effort as pushing the select button. But I suppose the niftiness of it being an actual function adds to it.
