I have converted a movie from a .avi to a .gbm. It is converted in standard mode. I have got the filmplay.bin file on the CF and copied the film to it but when i play the movie there is no sound! Can anyone help????

For that format you need both a gbm (movie) and a gbs (sound).
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

But I only have 1 avi file?

avi has audio and video interleaved into one file.

when you convert to gba movie player format, the output files are seperate video and audio files (with same name, but different extensions).  just make sure both the gbm and gbs file are on your SD/CF card.
