I've owned a SmartCard SD version for a few weeks, loved it so much, bought another... but this time I bought a "lite" version.
Knock on wood, it's on it's way.

I have used the software to convert some raw roms into supercard format, and have them sitting on my harddisk.

Do I need to use a different conversion program for the "lite" ?

i.e., do I need separate SC-SD version of roms from SC-Lite roms?

Yes you definately do. Although you can use your save files from the SC SD. http://eng.supercard.cn/download.htm

To quote sneef from a prior post (http://scdev.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5509)

..."you have to patch them with the new patcher. If you use your old roms, they won't save, and the DS roms will be very slow and choppy."

Smartcard?

I didnt think you needed a new patcher...even though they have a diff. one on the SC site.  i thought all SD versions were the same

You do need a seperate patcher for the Lite, it's the SD and miniSD that can use the same software.

Thanks for the information.
I'll have to store duplicates now...
