Just wondering (did a little searching with no luck) is there a homebrew wifi detector software out there (or a feature in one)?

The wifi_lib_test works pretty well: http://www.akkit.org/dswifi/wifi_lib_test.nds

I can't remember but I think you'll need to append a loader.  dslazy has a nice GUI: http://l33t.spod.org/ratx/DS/dslazy/dslazy.zip

Look for DS2Key

it has a wifi wardriving app that will list wifi point, signal, wep off / on and allow you to try and connect :-)

go for the non gui version for wardriving

so what feature do you use to do wifi test not sure which one

Please, would you stop crediting DS2Key author for wardriving ...  :x
It was copied from WiFi_Lib_Test, for crying out loud!

onekelly: Use WiFi_Lib_Test and select Wardriving from the menu. If it finds a network with WEP off and a decent signal rate (60%+), try to connect in the Connect to AP window using the default settings. If it suceeds, just switch to your beloved application and use it :)

And incase that app requires you to edit your WFC settings, you should carry a WFC enabled-game or keep a .nds binary version of FWNitro on your SuperCard.

so umm basically when you do a QPC the connection is still there? other than that i dont know how you actually use this app to connect and play games

socket

You can use it to help you find APs but you have to reconnect from within the game or app you want to run.

it might be just me but i think the wifi detector in wardriving is better than the one in ds wfc setup.  I did some test with super mario kart before and i only found 3 app available meanwhile i can find around 30 with win2key

The wifi_lib_test app is more sensitive than the one in WFC setup. It'll find any AP thats in the area, even if you are too far away to connect.

thanks for the info, i"ve been wondering about that my self since i got the app.  i've been getting the 5300 error code : unable to connect, all the time.    I checked the ndswifi setup and it might be the router.  *sigh so much work to do to play online. :?

Fair enough, credit where credit is due - didn't mean to upset anyone
