OMG have you guys heard of this very nice 2-D fighting emulator???? Its called Mugen and its very user customizable ranging from downloadable characters, stages, and sounds etc.  just wondering if anyone can, will, or might try and make this available for ds use???? i mean if people out there can develop software such as moonshell im sure this wont be a problem.  good thing is the game doesnt require that much hardware specs and the files are small.  imagine the ultimate fighting game in your hands!!! please help????

i would really love to have this on my ds lite.

!!!!!!!!if anyone has any info on this topic please pm me or email!!!!!!!!

I used to play around with Mugen quite a bit, it's fun and interesting...but is this really possibly on the DS? What would the touchscreen be used for? Seems like this might be easier to do on the PSP.

I recall that some of those Mugen characters got to be pretty system heavy, like Evil Ken.

^^^^ really i didn know that. i read the requirements for mugen and it only needed like 100 to 200 mhz processor. i means its only 2-d graphics and the ds can do 3-d.  if the ds can render games like mario cart ds and metroid prime im sure itll be able to render a 2-d fighting game. i mean how sick would that be to be able to play mugen on the go (for people who know about it)?

the game's appearance is based ONLY on what you put into it. MUGEN is just a 2-d engine, not a full game. When you download it, you get 1 character right off the bat, you can download a pack to allow yourself more characters which you download. People create characters and they are required to have their own sounds, hit sparks, and animations. Evil Ken, for example, IS a very system-heavy character because of the insane graphics it uses for certain moves. It all depends on how well the character was made though. As better 2-d fighting games with better graphics come out, better characters that use better graphics are able to be made.

Yea there needs to be some sort of really good fighting game for DS.  after that someone else should develope some sort of online fighting thingymabob!

I'm eagerly awaiting a Super Street Fighter II Turbo with online wi-fi, that'd be so awesome to play against people on the net. I could care less if the touch screen wasn't used...but I haven't heard anything about a good fighting game yet for the DS.

Bah...  Fighting games on portables are pointless.  Fighting games are meant to be played with joysticks, not control pads.  Anything less is unacceptable.

Just my opinion...

Though to be honest, seeing Mugen running on a DS would be pretty sweet.  Not sure its feasible, though.
