Well I'm kinda curious what you all use? I'm currently using a Supercard CF so...I use a 512mb Lexar (Kodak) Compact Flash. How do you know when the compact flash card is dying and what brands would you guys recommend as a replacement. I was thinking of getting a 2 gb Kingston CF.

I figured before I do that I'd ask you all and see what you all use. I've used my Lexar for about 6-7 months and it might be dying but I'm not sure.  :?

i use a generic 256 MB card i got from china 6 1/2 years ago ive used it on 3 pocket pcs, 2 camaras & now my supercard im making sure i get my moneys worth out of it cause it was £90 at the time

A 1GB CF Kingston I use, I've used it for about 9 months or so.

I'd think it has a lot more life in it yet.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

i have a 256MB ncp whch i been using on my digicam since 2005 and now on my supercard for 3 months... planning to have a 1gig too

I'm using a 128 MB and 512 MB CF card.
I think SD is wimpy compared to those Transflash cards :)
(Storing a hundred novels in practically a grain of salt... amazing).

I haven't had either die, though the 512 one is years old and has been known to do odd things. I usually just reformat it or defrag it and everything works out.

Thank you all for the replies. I went ahead and ordered a 2gb kingston cf. Can't wait to get my superkey....wanna play Monkey Island on my DS Lite  :D

everyone should be sticking with SD/miniSD
the SD format is veryyy widespread in every device you can imagine

This is true.
If I didn't already have a ton of CF cards, I would have bought a Micro SD card with a bunch of converter cards. (Micro SD -> SD, SD -> CF).

LOL I ordered that adapter back in April and didn't realize it was going to be bigger than an actual CF card.  I also wasn't expecting the SD card to stick out the front. Oh well. It was good for a laugh. These type of adapters do work with Supercard though.  Just remember Supercard doesn't  support Type II devices.
