I really need some help. I have 320 Grit paper here. I dont know which parts to sand. The back? sides? How much do i sand. Help

Only sand the sides. Not the top or bottom (top would be where the sticker is) or front or back. Do a little at a time on each side. When you slide it in and out feel where on the sides it binds. Sand front to back. after a couple (3-4) of tries at it, it will be easier to pull out. Doing a little at a time is better than all at once since you do not want to oversand and be too loose.

Ok, so i sand the sides a little bit each. Then side the back side (Where there is no sticker)?

in my sandings of the sclite I did not sand the back side where there is no sticker (I only said the location of sticker so I would not confuse you). Only do the sides. at least that is what i did and it is now snug but alot easier to remove without much force.

KINGOFNOOBS

how much do i side the sides? alot, in little increments. Or a little, in little increments?

just sand the whole side a little at a time. to make sure you do not over sand

I sanded the Left and Right Sides and the Back too. I used 320 at first and finshed it with 600... which then gives the SCLite casing a nice smooth fell. Use the 320 first and shave a bit off on all 3 sides. Then use the 600 to finish it off until the case is smooth again. Get a lightly damp paper towel and just run it over the areas that you have sanded. If you also have a can of compressed air... just blow around the case to make sure no sanding dust is in the chips. Keep doing this routine until the case slides in and out of your DS till it is how you want it. Done 3 SCLites this way and all work great and slide it an out like the MiniSD card does.

Hello all.  I tried to sand my sclite based off of the new chinese pictures of the sclite (large notch in bottom back).  That seemed to help a little, but the suggestion of sanding the sides REALLY helped.  Also the suggestion of putting it in...feel where the resistance is, and then sand and repeat is a great way of doing it.  My sclite now fits snuggly, but is removable with my fingers (before it was so bad I had to use tweezers).  Yay!

Thanks for all the help!

Sanding the 3 sides really does help. Did you do the 320 and finish with 600 like I suggested? My SCLites are absolutely perfect now. Snug yet I can pull them out with one finger.

Strange enough, I had a fine grain metal nail file in my tool box.  It worked great!  It probably took longer than a coarser sand paper would, but with the smooth finish, no one can tell I even filed it down.

Sand paper is probably the safer and better route to go though.
