humadragon, how about a little courtesy?  there's absolutely no need for sarcasm here.

in any case, i'll be getting a system back which does not have the cosmetic defect i sent it in for, so i'll be satisfied with whatever.

if they sent me back my original 'innards' in a new case, i can still flash it again and return it to using my system as normal.  if they send me a refurb....oh well? and if i get a new system, which i'm fully expecting, so there.

i'll let you all know what's up when the system gets back to me at the end of the week.

the serial number of the unit being shipped to me starts with UG9.  Which, based on the fact that our ds lites both start(ed) with UG4, would tell me it's a brand new unit.

I got a completely new black ds due to a D-Pad with bad diagonals and a moving touchscreen... now it is perfect. No dead pixels, the best D-Pad ever etc.
