SD card unreadable in windows?

Help :(

After working perfectly for 2 weeks, suddenly my microSD card cannot be mounted in either Windows XP or OSX.

Basically it just times out and won't load, even for me to format it.

However, it still works on in the Supercard in my DS. Plays everything correctly. Right now I'm watching the FF3 movie intro and it's playing fine.

I assume that maybe some kind of header on the SD has been corrupted?

Any ideas? Are there any tools that might at least let me recover the save files off the SD, and then format it so I can start again?

thanks!

nope, tested the 2gb SD from my camera, and it's fine.

There was definately something weird about the card. I think I probably corrupted it by removing it while still connected or something..

Anyway, the following tools helped:

- Got my save files back with this: http://www.pcinspector.de/file_recovery/uk/welcome.htm

- formatted the card when nothing else would mount it: http://tiara.datarescue.be/freefiles/cw103.zip

Finally, I had to format the card as FAT using windows.

Hope this helps someone.
