didnt know what to put as a topic title XD but what im getting at is i love games that basically have your characters evolve/change at a certain level like pokemon or digimon, but not just for monsters. I also enjoy games that do the same thing with human characters such as a game i used to play called battle for wesnoth where your character would change classes/jobs/appearence at a certain level (with the right requirements) automatically (like digimon/pokemon) without you actually choosing the job/class (like you would in say final fantasy)

Basically the point of this topic is for anyone to recommend games that play like this,(besides the obvious pokemon/digimon games) doesnt matter if its a stratagy game, rpg, action/adventure, just list them here and what system theyre for (would prefer gba/gbc/ds/snes but pretty much any system)

NOTE: If its for PC i would prefer freeware games

Some i know of are:
EVO - Snes
Battle For Wesnoth - PC - Freeware

Hmm, Fable? Overrated for sure though.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

Fable's a good example of what i meant

ShinaKitsune

there is also the shin megami tensei series that kinda does this mostly the monsters though, but in the persona series the people kinda change... and then there is also the digital devil saga which is alot like persona... all three "series" are in basically the same setting though.

Shining Force on MD or GBA is a good one, Didn't this happen in golden sun as well ?

Fire Emblem, Star Wars KOTOR I think has something like this.
Damo

acky

I think the proper term is 'numbers go up.'

Have you tried Castlevania?

im looking more for monster/animal type games like pokemon/digimon and EVO then actual class changes really

Haoie

There's Jade Cocoon and Monster Rancher, and others in their respective series.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

just thought of something in the similar genre, Spectrobes for DS

Altor

It's alread been said, but, KOTOR is a really good example of this.  Your character develops, becomes highly specialized, and even has their appearance change depending on your actions and choices.
