Bought a DSONE for my DSlite. Downloaded the newest DSONE OS,  put it on my sandisk SD 2 GB microsd card together with the .NDS files.

BUT everytime the games freeze! The games freeze during gameplay, others before they even start up. Often a white screen.

I looked it up and according to the DSONE developer, its because of the speed of the microsd. So I lowered the microsd speed in the OS to 3X 4X etc, Same result. I Raised the speed; 17X 18X 25X same result. If I let the DSONE do an autodetect speed, it autodetects the speed  of the microsd card as 5x

Any suggestions?

i have 2 suggestions.............
1. buy a kingston japan memory card as these work great with the scdsone

2. i you cant afford a new memory card yet you can format your memory card to FAT with 64k clusters to get a little speed boost then raise your sd speed settings up in increments until you get the right spot

if you use windows
QuoteGo to: Start -> Run -> diskmgmt.msc
Select your SD card and right-click "Format"
    * Volume Label: Whatever you like
    * File System: FAT
    * Allocation unit size: 64k

Slingshot

Also try cleaning the contacts and do a system test, hold L+R at start-up.

Thanks for the advice guys, I did carefully clean the contacts, and formatted the microsd to 64 clusters and tried the raised increment speed changes. Did not work.

Ah well, I'll just buy the Kingston 2 gb microsd tomorrow as suggested!

make sure its a kingston japan version as the taiwan versions are just as bad as the sandisk with the scdsone
