Hi,

I'm more or less new to this forum and also a new Supercard owner. I received my Card on this friday and added the newest OS version to it. I also added the new NDSPatch file from this forum into the correct directory on the card.

This friday I played various games without any problems. On saturday I wanted to continue playing the games, but after some minutes (can be 1-5 minutes) each game just freezes. I changed the SD Card speed from 3 to 5 as the Auto Speed Test suggested but still without better results. I first thought that Animal Crossing might have screwed up the file system, so I deleted the game from the card, reformatted it and added each file (except Animal Crossing) to the card. But, you already guessed it, without any success. My next attempt was the Test mode of the card. All tests passed, but the SD Card test has the text "sd ok! no find test file" after it. Any problems here?
I also attempted to disable the pach mode, but also here no success.

Do you guys have any idea where the problem might be? I'm out of ideas so far and I hope to get some more knowledge in here.

Thanks,
Mav

What make is your MicroSD card? Also what size is it? MicroSD cards made by Sandisk are slower than the ones made by Kingston/Toshiba and are often too slow to play come of the more recent or the more bigger games. My suggestion is to purchase a Kingston MicroSD card as the Auto Speed check on those average mid 20s. These cards can be purchased easily online, and are fairly cheap (although depends where you buy them from)

Hope that helps

The brand of my McroSD card is indeed Sandisk with 8 GB of space. You might be right, that the card is too slow to play recent games. I'm curious why the card worked the whole friday without problems. Maybe I was just lucky that there were no errors ... I'll buy a Kingston card to see if there are any improvements to the current state.

Do you have any suggestions which card from Kingston would be the best?

I think Kingston Japan is the best

but I don't know, I still using my 2GB SanDisk with no error since I bought it on January
Spec :
Supercard DS One SDHC SP5 (2 GB memory)
Supercard Lite latest fw (1 GB memory)

I would agree Kingston Japan are the best, and Sandisk SDHC are slower than the non SDHC (which yours is) - I had a friend tho who had a 1GB Sandisk Pro and that would freeze at the first cut sequence on the World Ends With you - I happened to have a spare Kingston MicroSD card that he borrowed and he had no problems with that card. My guess is that as games tend to freeze at the same kinda places (mainly cut sequences) when you played on friday you didnt reach to a point where a freeze would occur, but Saturday you did, hence the freeze. (I am guessing here as I don't know if you played over the same bit and it freezed or what).

Hope that sheds some light

This seems to be a problem with SuperCard DS ONE and not the MicroSD.

I have a 4GB Kingston microSD card and been playing my games perfect for few months now. All of a sudden I put on some new games (like Harvest Moon) and just freezes like 1-5 minutes into the game. Driving me nuts. Don't see what's causing the problem. After it freezes I reboot into test mode and gives me a "psram error". Not sure what that means.
