Just got a Supercard...why will no games save???

I've been reading the forums and messing around with the setting but I can't for the life of me get this thing to save any games. Each time I open a game its like I opened it for the first time. What do I need to do to get these games to save? I purchased this one here....with the included 8GB memory card

The card says Japan on it. There is a .sav file for every game I have with the same name as the game too.

Hmmm... That problem is quite odd. Something that is a little weird is that the card slot on the flash cart is on the side. I have never seen one like that. Try using the short file name for the save file.

The card I got has the slot on the top. What do you mean by short name? for example. if the game is 0168 - mario kart.nds should I usewhat it lists under filename...0186-m~1.nds? Id so I tired that and still nothing. This is very frUstrating

Is there any other setting I need to change or anything I need to do befor useing that tool to convert them.

try renaming the .nds to something really short.

like

mkds.nds heh -.- so that the supercard will actually read it if its mkds.sav

but yeah, it should automatically make one for you. try a different microsd card. or even format the one you have now.

I renamed it to a short name. Both the nds and the .sav. Still nothing. I don't understand. I also noticed two more problems. If I try to reset during a game by pressing L+R and X,Y,A,B the game just freezes and I have to turn it off. I aslo tried enabling the realtime save feature, but when I press L+R and select it does absolutely nothing. Whats going on here?

Also, I just reformatted and put one game one it...Big Brain Academy. It still doesn't save and it has the same issues described above. What gives? I did the self test and it said it was ok...

Since you just got it I'm pretty sure you have the latest firmware. Are you sure this one is legit? If anything just head over to http://eng.supercard.cn and look at the little article to help identify fake supercards.

I checked that and it has all the characteristics of a real one, plus the place I purchased it from is listed there as an authorized dealer.

How about the firmware for the DS itself...does that have to be a certain one?

Also, should I be using there software to patch the.nds file before putting them on on card or not? I used the software for all of these. I didn't try putting them directly on the car without using the software first?

OK, So I just copied the nds to the memory card without usinf there software and it seemed to fix all my problems

Glad to hear that. Yeah, the supercard ds 1 doesnt need the games to be patched it supports clean roms. Glad to hear you fixed your problems.
