can you not get it repaired under warrenty from NINTENDO ??

I was given a broken hinged ds and a ds opera browser by a friend of mine a year or so ago who I helped out with some stuff.  I know he told me gamestop would not give him store credit for the opera browser and I am pretty sure he tried to trade the broken hinge ds and was also not offered credit.  You could try and the worse thing they can do is tell you no.  Maybe you will get a noob employee and get lucky.

Thanks for the replies GameStop said theyd take it but just taking off 5 - 10 bucks for a refurb fee which aint bad and the offer for the extra 25 bucks toward a new system still applied but he was short some cash so hes probably gonna sell it and buy a used ds lite

wait ?? trading in a broken DS with cash to get another DS? I would of phoned nintendo and asked them if it was under warrenty and get it repaired for free!

or buy a new case swap it and then trade it in

He was gonna trade in his phat towards a lite. The ds is old and wasn't under warranty. He bought off of my cousin who bought it the day it came out. My bro only payed 20 bucks for it since he bought it off of my cousin.
