Cannot save GBA games

Hello all.  I've followed all the directions for patching ROMs with my supercard (sd).  I will get to an in-game save spot, save the game, then shut the system down.  When I restart, it does not show that the save game was ever saved.  What am I doing wrong?

For the record, I just received my supercard the other day and I'm running it on an NDS.  I got one of the first silver ones out on the market in the US last December.  I've upgraded to todays latest firmware and the latest patching software.

I've patched with only "enable save" on each of the roms.  None of the ones I've tried work thus far (for saving..they load and play fine).  I've tried Metroid Fusion, Castlevania:Aria of Sorrow and Mario Pinball Land.

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

Edit: for s&g's I've also tried enabling real-time saves and this doesn't seem to work either.  Am I not doing something correctly here?  Everything appears to be in working order except the saving.  Should I take my DS game out of the slot?  I can't imagine that would make a difference, but who knows.

you have to use the key combos to save after you save in-game. L+R, Select A for normal, L+R. Select B for realtime

Do I have to enable any other options beyond "enable save?"  I've just tried your method and nothing seems to be displayed on the screen to confirm the key command.  I've disabled real-time saves on this patch for testing, since I didn't know where the problem stemmed from.

Thanks.  Here's hoping this works.

Edit:  it didn't work either.

On mine the options are enable save , enable saver patch , enable real time save and enable restart.

AFAIK you must have enable restart checked for the saving to work (could be wrong)

This seems to work.  Thanks. I figured I was doing something wrong.
