Got an AceKard! How to ROM trim...

I actually got one of these!  I got the 2i version in preparation for eventually getting a DSi.

Hint: if anybody wants to convert DS Link saves to AceKard 2 format, use R4's savegame converter.  The online converter at http://www.shunyweb.info/convert.php cannot convert *from* DS Link, while R4's converter does.  The R4 format is the same as AceKard.  You just have to name the output save file with .nds.sav.

But here's a question for AceKard owners: how do you get the ROM trimming to work?  The only info I've found is to "copy" the ROM, but does that mean that I should use the copy function in the AceKard OS?  I think I tried that and it didn't work.

I've ordered one too for 3rd April launch.

I thought, from the website, that trimming was automatic.

Also, they say you can have both .sav and .nds.sav depending if you want multiple save files.

The trimming is not automatic.  I copy ROMs to the flash card and they do not get trimmed.  I think you have to copy within the AK interface itself to make it work, but I'll still haven't gotten it.

You can have .sav and .nds.sav, but DS Link .sav files are a different format.  Just because the extension matches doesn't mean the file format is compatible.  You have to use the R4 converter to convert.
