So is it wise to update to 3.3U dont play hombrew games. But have the latest homebrew channel installed. what do you think?

3.3U is fine as long as you don't install that shop channel update that kills WAD installation. But that doesn't matter now 'cause 3.4 just came out and it deletes everything hacked. WADs, HBC and the TP hack. It also makes it so that it auto-installs new updates without asking or telling.

Yikes.

It's certainly one of the reasons why I keep mine offline.  There's no telling what Ninty does.

I think it's better to stay at 3.2U.  If you update, and later find out you shouldn't have - you can't go back.

What if you never want to install the homebrew channel, and you just want to play your backed up games? Do you think it is safe then. Wiikey v2 install on my bro-in-laws wii.

Don't quote me on this, but I heard that it won't affect that.

I only use homebrew myself... so I don't have a Wii mod chip, nor do I care about having one.  (I actually haven't gotten around to installing the Homebrew channel yet, but that's just laziness).  I'm keeping my console at 3.2 so I can install homebrew if I want.

There's really no excuse for pirating console games in 2008...  there are so many way to get games legally, that doesn't cost much, that all of the old lame excuses don't fly anymore (Gamefly, GameTZ.com, etc.)

if someone doesnt want to waste money imo is one of the main reasons people still pirate, most pirates i know though actually support the games they like especially the ones from the lesser known companies
