guys does flashme voids the DS console guarantee & if yes is there away to back up the original firmware incase i ever need to flash it back incase i ever needed to send the console to nintendo for repair .thx

I haven't looked over the warranty, but I'm pretty sure it'd void the warranty. There is a noflash file on the official flashme site that you can use if you want to revert to the old firmware.

now i have just flashed it & all went smoothly.

ok what i understand from your reply that the original firmware is still present & all i need to restore it is use the noflashme file the same way as i did use the flashme file & that will restore the original ds firmware. is that right.

yeah it should void the warranty, but i'f *heard* that you can easily get a replacement, esp if you reapply the red/white sticker to the hole.
