I will be getting a new ds, to replace the one i bricked but not sure of a few things.

If i get a passme2 with the correct code can I use it to do flashme? will the ds then work the same as if i use flashme on an original ds? i.e I will no longer need the passme in place?

Yes once you install flashme your DS will behave as an "old" DS. This question has been asked many times - please search before asking.

Sorry for posting this again, must have used the wrong phrase when seaqrching. Thanx for the answer my son will be pleased........when I have the money to get him another!!!!
