Hi, I was having some problems with my supercard sd (I have a european gb micro, don't get me started) so I decided to upgrade/downgrade the firmware, to see if that would help.
Since I couldn't get it to work properly on my micro, I used a relative's regular old GBA for the upgrading, everything seemed to work fine, but because of a problem with the gba's batteries, the gba shut down in the middle of the upgrade.

Now it wont do ANYTHING anymore. No matter what gba I put it in, it doens't even seem to recognize the SC as a game, it just loads up the GBAtitle and stops. (just as it would when you start itup without inserting a game.)

I realise my SC is probably beyond help, seeing as it probably has no firmware whatsoever installed on it properly, but I guess I might as well ask if anyone here can help me...
thx

There is a thread in the homebrew section about Cory's attempts at recovering his supercard firmware ( he broke his on purpose ). I belive you'll need at least either a DS and a wifimeable card or a suitably fixed copy of the firmware and a jtag cable.

Somebody should really write up a sticky outlining the extreme danger involved in flashing firmware. Many of us know the dangers from flashing motherboard BIOS and such in the past, but I really don't people understand what they are really doing when they flash. I am assuming most people are just thinking of this as an "update", and that is really it. If you do not go through with it entirely, you will ruin your SC, your DS, or anything else that you are flashing when it comes to updating a firmware or BIOS. My advice is to always keep a power source plugged in when doing this, and to make sure you get to 100% on any update before shutting it off.
