Here is my situation...I just got the SC SD from China w/ kernal v 1.52.  I placed the .scu upgrade to v. 1.53 on my card and it was recognized upon boot into .gba mode.  However, everytime I press "yes" to upgrade, I get the verification error message and am asked to reboot the GBA.  I downgraded to v 1.5 in the hopes that a progressive flash to v 1.52 and the v 1.53 might work, but now I am stuck at v 1.5 (the SC readily identifies and used the .bin file of v 1.5).  Please help, I want to be at the most current version of software.  BTW, I am using the ADATA 2GB card which has about a GB of free space left.  Thank you.

I had trouble updating mine using a 2G SD card in the SC. I also had many games on it at the time. I have a 16mb SD card that I tried and it worked for me. so I just use that card only for updating since it is so small. Try using a smaller card to update with, it may fix your updating problem

could also try and defrag your SD, although I dont know if that will make a huge difference.

What if I don't have another SD card?  Should I just dump/format everything on my card just to do the update (I'd hate to do that)?  How come my SC plays roms, but can't do upgrades?

copy your roms to computer, then format card and try it,if not use a different sd card. Use a friends if you don't have another one. if you have a digital camera, they use sd cards, so use that one to update if you have one

Reformatted the card, and nothing...I need to borrow someone's...argh.

Try re-downloading the firmware update. Sometimes it can become corrupt in the download.

Just buy a small one from a camera store or wherever . get a 16mb one they are real cheap compared to that 2G one that you have. they are around $20 or so. That way in the future if you have to update again you will have a sd card just for that. you might want to borrow a friends first to make sure that it works and to know if that was your problem or if it is something else

Ok, got on the official supercard website and they have a v. 1.52 in the .bin format...needles to say, I am back at v. 1.52...now, if only they would release 1.53 in .bin format...

As an aside, anyone know why I can't play Sonic, Meteos or Imperfects...I get two white screens with the first two, the last gets to the character selection screens and freezes?  Is this fixed in v. 1.53 which is why I am having the problems?
